Girolamini Library and Monumental Complex

Adjoining the church is the Oratorians’ House, recognized as a national heritage site since 2020. The monumental complex includes two cloisters, the larger of which is known as the “Cloister of the Oranges”; it also houses the city’s oldest public library. Particularly striking is the hall dedicated to Giambattista Vico (1727–1736), which contains an important collection of books – especially noteworthy is the Giuseppe Valletta collection. It also includes a music archive and the Picture Gallery, which showcases 17th- and 18th-century religious commissions and donations.
