Fontata degli Incanti

Fontata degli Incanti

Piazza S. Di Giacomo

Designed in the 16th century by Giovanni da Nola and commissioned by Viceroy Don Pedro de Toledo, the fountain originally stood in Piazza dell’Olmo and was rebuilt in Posillipo in 1912. The monument, linked to popular legends, features a classic circular basin with dolphins. In 2024, a meticulous renovation restored its ancient splendor: the intervention included the relocation of the original stone lions, exceptionally rediscovered in the dungeons of the Maschio Angioino castle after forty years.
