Built for the Florentine merchant Angelo Como in Tuscan styles (1464-90), with a facade featuring rusticated and smooth stonework and cross-shaped windows. In 1587, it was sold and incorporatedinto the monastery of San Severo al Pendino. In 1881-82, it was demolished and reconstructed with Neorenaissance interiors, set back to make space for the expansion of Via Duomo. In 1888, the palace was donated to the city by Gaetano Filangieri di Satriano and adapted into a civic museum, dedicated to him. The interesting period display hosts collections of weapons, textiles, porcelain, documents, and paintings.
